The garden at Lenora B. Smith Elementary got spruced up a bit when Marlins Ayudan volunteers hit the campus this week. A team of six individuals spent the entire day removing weeds, rocks and other debris to make room for an expanded garden. In the end, more than 80 bags of mulch and dirt were used to help make the area beautiful along with all the lovely plants. Garden decor was also donated to the school's garden liaison Ms. Folami Richards. Five fifth grade students who helped care for a smaller portion of the garden all year were able to assist in this monumental effort. We are so thankful to Marlins Ayudan and our growing partnership.
